Major
The Department of Economics at Sogang University offers a single major in Economics without requiring a separate process for selecting a primary major.
Double Major
Application for 2nd and 3rd Majors
Students can apply for 2nd and 3rd majors starting from their 4th semester. They can choose any major they desire regardless of their current department or division.

Changing or Canceling 2nd and 3rd Majors
Students can change or cancel their 2nd and 3rd majors starting from their 5th semester.

Interdisciplinary Major
· An interdisciplinary major refers to a new major offered by combining two or more fields of study. This system was initiated to provide students with a broader range of academic disciplines that cater to new societal and academic changes, beyond the traditional majors offered by universities.

· The introduction of interdisciplinary majors along with the division system greatly expands students' options for choosing their majors. Students can select and complete 2nd and 3rd majors in interdisciplinary fields in addition to their primary major.

· If a course from the interdisciplinary major overlaps with a course from the student’s other major, up to 6 credits can be recognized for both majors simultaneously (applicable to students entering in the 2014 academic year onward).
However, only the credits for one course are counted toward the total earned credits. The requirements and curriculum for interdisciplinary majors, including the courses to be completed, can be found in the handbook for the student’s academic year or in the ‘Course Schedule’ booklet published during each semester's course registration period.
