□ Curriculum
1. The required courses for the PhD program are:
Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics (Exemption if these courses were taken in the university’s Master's program.)
2. Students must earn 36 or more credits from courses offered by the department.
3. A maximum of 9 credits (up to 6 credits per semester) can be earned through credit exchange programs with other schools or departments, with prior approval from the department chair.
□ Comprehensive ExamMicroeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics (Exemption if these courses were taken in the university’s Master's program.)

Students must pass the Comprehensive Exam for the PhD program, which covers Advanced Microeconomics and Advanced Macroeconomics. (Exemption is granted if an A- or higher grade is achieved in these courses.)
□ Thesis
The PhD thesis must pass the evaluation of the Thesis Committee.
□ Additional Graduation Requirements
Before applying for the PhD thesis review, students must meet one of the following publication requirements (co-authorship with a professor is allowed):
1) Two papers published in KCI journals (including candidate journals for KCI).
2) One paper published in a SSCI journal.
※ For students enrolled before the 2015 Spring semester, the publication requirement is at least one paper in a journal listed by the Korea Research Foundation (including candidate journals).
