Graduate students in the Department of Economics at Sogang University Graduate School are eligible for various internal and external scholarships.
Internal Scholarships
1. Albatross Fellowship
- Awarded to top 10% graduates in their respective fields
- Covers full tuition and enrollment fees during regular semesters, contingent upon maintaining academic performance standards

2. Kim Young-Hoon Scholarship:
- Funded by the family of alumnus Kim Young-Hoon (Economics '87) to support doctoral candidates
- Eligibility: Registered doctoral candidates who have completed coursework
- Application Period: Refer to the Department of Economics website
- Required Documents: (1) Self-introduction and research proposal, (2) Academic transcript, (3) Recommendation from advisor
- Evaluation and Reporting: Mid-term report submission after one semester and draft submission after one year (collaboration with advisor allowed)
3. TA Scholarship: For students assisting professors in teaching and research, scholarships are awarded based on working hours.
4. RA Scholarship: Provided for students participating in research projects led by department faculty.
5. IA Scholarship: Awarded to students assisting with administrative, research, or experimental tasks in university research centers.
6. General Scholarship: Given to outstanding new students, academically excellent students, financially disadvantaged students, or department-recommended students through recommendation by the department chair or faculty advisor.
7. Research Assistance Scholarship: Designed to encourage research and aid in producing high-quality papers for excellent integrated master's and doctoral students.
8. Excellence in Research Scholarship: Granted to students who publish as the first author, corresponding author, or sole author in internationally renowned journals (SCI(E), SSCI, A&HCI, SCOPUS).
9. Mentoring Scholarship: Aimed at fostering adaptation for new master's students through mentorship programs led by integrated or doctoral students.
10. Research Encouragement TA Scholarship: Supplementary scholarship provided to integrated or doctoral students receiving RA scholarships to promote research.
11. Undergraduate-Master's Integrated Program Scholarship: Covers full tuition and enrollment fees for the first semester for students admitted to the program.
12. Master’s-Doctoral Integrated Scholarship: Waives enrollment fees for students continuing from a master's program to a doctoral program in consecutive semesters.
13. Merit Scholarship: Awarded to graduate student council officers as a token of appreciation for their service.

- Provides 4 million KRW per semester for up to one year.
2. Endowment and External Fund Scholarships:
